Generous use of wide trails allows guests to traverse the entire estate as they ascend to viewing areas of Mt. Tamalpais and the San Francisco Bay. |

The use of stone retaining walls, seating and viewing areas, plus an abbey ruin lends a sense of timelessness to the garden. |

The gurgle of water from the placement of fountains throughout the garden urges the guest to explore more of the garden while the placement of unusual topiary plants creates a feeling of 'another world'. A larger than life topiary lion greets the explorer along the pathways. |

Ample shade provided by the California Live Oaks on the property allowed the liberal use of Camellias, Rhododendrons and Hydrangeas. Boxwood hedges frame the pathways. |

Sunny planting beds allow the use of roses, dwarf citrus trees and also a unique hedge made of dwarf apple trees. |
